The Hicks Estate

A baby squirrel fell into our lives and we're raising it until it's old enough to go on his own.

A Swallowtail Butterfly had just emerged from it's cocoon on our deck and was stretching it's wings to dry them.

This sunflower just started growing on our deck in a flower pot that had some dirt in it. The patterns in nature are pretty amazing.

Building is adjacent to the White House​. Sky was added (it was grey overcast when I took picture).

The Eisenhower Executive Office Building is located next to the West Wing, and houses a majority of offices for White House staff.

​My wife saw a pic of a dog in the "Loudon" county pet shelter and fell in love with it. She asked me about getting the dog and I agreed. I did have to tell her the "Loudoun" County Pet Shelter local to where we live did not have this dog but the "Loudon" Tennessee County Pet Shelter did. So...we drove 500 miles to Tennessee and picked Kip up. Best dog ever.

​Saw this dragon fly resting on my car antenna. I went up and switched my day-to-day lens w/macro lens and was able to get some interesting shots.

Taken on the lake we live on in mid-August.
